Pure A2 Gir Cow Desi Ghee – made using the traditional Ayurvedic Bilona method
Fresh and Pure cow milk is sourced from hand-picked Gaushalas, where A2 Desi Gir cows are nurtured. The wholesome milk is then converted into curd. In the Ayurvedic bilona method, ghee is made by churning curd or cultured butter to separate the butterfat from the buttermilk. This process involves using a wooden churner or a traditional hand-operated churner known as a “bilona.” The bilona is a cylindrical-shaped wooden instrument with a long handle which is then slowly hand-churned in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions to obtain butter from the curd (Dahi). The butter is gently simmered at low heat, allowing the milk solids to rise to the surface, which are then skimmed off. The resulting clear liquid, known as vedic ghee, is retained while the solid residue settles at the bottom and is discarded. This process ensures the highest quality of pure cow ghee. This Vedic ghee is made from the milk of free-ranging, grass-fed desi gir cows, imparting it with a delightful aroma and flavor.
